Homeschool Op is built around family trust. Here is the plain-English version of the boundaries we design around and the promises we are willing to make publicly.
A real company stands behind the product
Homeschool Op is operated by Homeschool Op LLC, an Arizona limited liability company founded by a homeschooling family. The product name is Homeschool Op; the legal operator is Homeschool Op LLC.
Parents stay in control
Homeschool Op can organize, explain, propose, and prepare supported actions, but the parent or guardian remains the authority for meaningful homeschool decisions, official records, attendance, grades, and household access.
Student information is not advertising inventory
We do not sell personal information to third parties for money, share children's information with advertisers, or use family or student information for third-party behavioral advertising.
Student access is parent-managed
Consumer household accounts are created and managed by adults. When a parent enables Student Mode or another student-facing experience, that access remains inside the parent-managed household and does not transfer control of billing, official records, or parent-authority settings to the student.
AI is a support layer
Op and other AI-assisted features are designed to reduce repetitive work and make the connected homeschool easier to use. AI can be wrong. It does not replace parent judgment, and meaningful plan or record changes stay within the product's review and authority rules.
State guidance shows its work
Homeschool Op's state-guidance system is built around source-backed claims, official-source links, freshness context, and the family details that can change what applies. It is educational information, not legal advice, and it does not guarantee compliance.
Security is an operating responsibility
We use encrypted connections, secure authentication, household and role-based access controls, backend data protections, restricted privileged operations, and privacy-conscious analytics practices designed to reduce unnecessary exposure of family information. No online service can honestly promise perfect security.
We publish a security contact so suspected vulnerabilities can be reported responsibly, and we treat security boundaries as product requirements rather than marketing claims.
We separate real relationships from marketing
A curriculum, association, creator, vendor, or other organization is not a Homeschool Op partner merely because its name or materials appear in the product. We only describe an organization as a partner, approved vendor, integration, or endorser when that relationship actually exists and we are authorized to describe it that way.
